Let’s Go To The Movies

220px-Mean_Girls_film_posterGrowing up with my dad, movies have been a huge aspect of my upbringing. I was exposed as a very young age Classic Cinema, Movie Musicals, and Disney Classics, just to name a few.

As a child, I was always be watching a movie. I was obsessed with going to Blockbusters and I would be in there for at least an hour because I could not decide on what movie to rent. I also would go to the public library and rent so many DVDs. (There were a few books somewhere I’m sure.)

My DVD and VHS collection growing up was outrageous. I grew very attached to each of them and would become so upset if I had to give away any to make my collection smaller.

When Netflix came out, I knew I had to create an account. The amount of options that are there is amazing and there’s something there for everyone.

I am currently a Communication major at the University of Tampa. Many of my classes are film studies concentrated. I love that I am able to attend a university where I have the ability to be around people who also loves films, but also be exposed to films that I would not watch on my own, and enjoying them.

  1. The Wizard of Oz (Victor Fleming, 1939)
  2. Dead Poets Society (Peter Weir, 1989)
  3. Mean Girls (Mark Waters, 2004)
  4. The Little Mermaid (Ron Clements & John Musker, 1989)
  5. Annie (Rob Marshall, 1999)

I am aways eager to watch new film and try a new genre or topic! If you have a movie that you think I will enjoy, comment below the title! I also hope by some of my reviews I can get you to watch a new film!
